Job Description
We're seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Engineer to help build our next generation algorithms and infrastructure to keep Chictini scaling with our traffic and expanding our capabilities. Not only will you be able to improve your skills by solving cutting-edge technology problems, but gain useful experience with a fast-growing startup by being part of the initial tech team. This engagement will begin as a pro-bono contract of 3 months, with a possible extension or permanent hire offer to be evaluated after an initial evaluation is complete.
We encourage creative individuals of all school and professional experience levels to apply. They must be comfortable working remotely, in an innovative and self-directed team environment and should be highly disciplined about meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience working in Ruby on Rails (Past experience building REST-compliant websites in RoR is a plus)
- Database design and MySQL experience
- Computer Science or equivalent degree (Students currently in schools enrolled in computer science major may apply as well)
- Experience with Flash is a bonus
